Why the name Kent?
Not all heroes walk on two legs. Kent, a golden Labrador from the Indian Army’s canine unit, served in nine counter-terror ops and led every mission with fearless loyalty. In September 2023 in Rajouri, she stepped ahead to shield her handler from enemy fire, sacrificing her life and later being honoured with the Tricolour.
